KEY INFORMATION
Parallel Architecture Studio is performing the interior design for the unique and historic building. Parallel want to create a design that honors its past while also incorporating modern elements to make it a comfortable and functional space.
The building was original built in 1927 as a coal-fire power plant that provided steam and electricity to the downtown area. In1989, the plan was decommissioned and sat empty for many years before being renovated into a mixed-use development.
Our design concept for the steam plant focuses on creating an ambiance that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing for the 69 dwelling units and commercial space. By using a combination of industrial and contemporary design elements, our concept achieves a cohesive and streamlined look that is easy to maintain.
